Footpath across peatWhen crossing deep peat in the Peak District, we have tended to use reclaimed millstone flags, which seem to work very well and last a long time. Has anyone had any issues with using flags, such as them sinking, as it is an issue that is regularly brought up. What other techniques have people used to take upland rights of way across deep peat. Has anyone got any great ideas as to how you take horses across deep peat, as various organisations seem to be opposed to the use of flagstones for bridleways.
